Taylor 7 - Both Sides

For those of you who want to see both sides of the parti-colors. Here they are. They are walking lots better today than yesterday, so picture taking just got more fun! I call this guy B.F. cause he was Born Flat. Come on, it's funny!
He's got lots of color both sides.

Taylor 8 - Both Sides

Vinnie. He has just the perfect head marking. His head will look nice no matter it's shape.

Taylor 6 - Both sides

Spot. He has huge markings on the non-show side, little on the show side. it's like having two dogs in one.

Taylor 4 - Both sides

Taylor's 4th - Possie. I love the swoosh on her head. She has a saddle across the top of her back.

Taylor 3 - Both Sides

Dot, Taylor's 3. She has a heart on her right side. Maybe she needs a new name.

Carly 1 - Both sides

This is Carly's Brindle and White. I call her First.

Taylor - Puppy 8

This is a Black and White Male. We call him Vinnie because we had a Vinnie that looked like him. He has a black spot on his butt and a colored head, but the rest is white.

Taylor - Puppy 7

This is a Black and White Male. He was super squiwiggly for the picture. He was born flat and dead and Carly revived him. His big and fat now!

Taylor - Puppy 6

This is Spot (we're really reaching for these names!). He is a Black and White Male.

Taylor - Puppy 4

This is a Black Male.

Taylor - Puppy 4

This is a Black and White Female. We call her Possie because she has an apostophe on her head.

Taylor - Puppy 3

This is a Black and White Female. We call her Dot (wonder why?). My Dad says she is the showiest so far.

Taylor - Puppy 2

This is a Black Male. I plopped him down and took the picture before he woke up completely.

Taylor - Puppy 1

This puppy is a Black Female. She fussed all the way through the pictures.

Carly - Puppy 9

This is a Red Male.

Carly - Puppy 8

This is a Red Female.

Carly - Puppy 7

This is a Brindle Female. She was asleep through part of the portrait taking.

Carly - Puppy 6

This is a Red Female. She was going to leave the picture. She couldn't sit still at all.

Carly - Puppy 5

This puppy is a Brindle Male.

Carly - Puppy 4

This is a Brindle Female. She was one of the few who sat still for pictures.

Carly - Puppy 3

This is a Red Male, very cute face.

Carly - Puppy 2

This is a brindle female. She screamed and complained through the whole picture taking episode.

Carly - Puppy 1

This was the first pup born. She is a Brindle and White Female, probably a Red Brindle. If she is a blue brindle as I originally thought, she is very dark.

Puppy Segregation

Here they are by color. Two Brindle and Whites (1 M, 1F), Three Blacks (2 M, 1 F), Four Black and Whites (2 M, 2 F), Four Reds (2 M, 2 F), Four Brindles (1 M, 3 F)

Puppies at Three Weeks

Here are all seventeen puppies at three weeks old. They are very healthy and very fat. All eyes are open and look quite dark. All are trying to walk. We had trouble with some of the individual photos as they were trying to leave the scene.

Grandma Belle

The maternal grandmother of the pups is Ch. Wenonah Aigrette. She is a very cheerful dog with and lovely curvy body and a beautiful head and eye. We imported her from England at a year and a half and she finished easily and quickly.

English Grandparents

I met Hooley (Quattara Morning Star at Wenonah) and Murry (Baldrey Everlasting Story at Wenonah) when I went to England to pick up Belle (the puppy's Grandma, Wenonah Aigrette). The both were delightful and quite handsome. Here is Hooley, the white lady and Murry, the red boy. I guess that's where all these deep reds came from!

Grandfather Sherman

Am. Can. Ch. Ramachandra Windstorm Cebar was an incredible dog. He was a wonderful showman and was always a thrill to take in the ring. He is shown in the photo winning BOS at The Greyhound Club of America Specialty in 1987. Sherman is the sire of many champions and field champions. He was bred to Wenonah Aigrette by frozen semen.

Pedigree

I couldn't figure out a way to post the pedigree so here is a link to it - Puppy Pedigree.

Dirk - The Showdog

Here is the puppy's daddy Dirk winning an Award of Merit at the Greyhound Club of America 2001 Eastern Specialty.

Bear with me

I am totally new to all this web and blog stuff so I will get information here as quickly as I can. Please bear with me as I spend the next few days adding photos of sire and dams, pedigrees and other info. I just wanted to get something up for those I had promised it to.

The Day Before...

The day before Carly delivered, the girls were healthy, happy and surprisingly cheerful given their circumstances. Dirk (the daddy) seemed down right pleased with himself (somehow not surprising!).

Moms and Colors

Oddly enough, and luckily for us, each bitch had puppies of unique colors with only one exception.
Taylor, the back brindle and white mom, had the black and white parti-colors and the blacks and one black brindle male. She has six boys and three girls.
Carly, the blue brindle had all the reds, the blue brindle and white parti-
color and three black brindles. She had six girls and two boys.

We deemed Carly 'Super Mom' right away because as soon as the deliveries were done and the girls were together, Carly started helping herself to Taylor's puppies. She thought she could take care of them better, I'm sure. We were glad for the color differences and unique markings.
Moms Carly and Taylor will be three years old this May.

Of course, we believe in early socialization, so Serena began working on that task right away!
